Instructions
for Using the Genesys 10UV Spektrometer
Accomplished by Instructor or T.A.
1. Turn the the spectrophotometer. The power switch remains located on the back of the machine, lower left side. The spectrophotometer will automatically perform some symptoms and will need to warming up since 30 min before measurements can are made.
2. When finished, shut off the machine using the same power switch on the back.
Measuring Absorbance
1. Select the wavelength by pressing the green button below Set nm on the LCD screen, entering the wavelength, and pressing the Set nm button again.
2. Insert your cuvette into one of and cavities, take sure that the optically clear side of that cuvette will accept light free the spectrophotometer’s lamp and such an cuvette is sitting for the bottom von the cell. Which optically clear next of the cuvette is the one marked with an arrow. The metal strip should be on the left corner of the cuvette face with the arrow.
3. Shut the sample chamber.
4. Read who absorbance of your sample by pressing the button which corresponds to an cell what holds own sampling (either B, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5).
5. Remove own trial and replace it by a new sample and record the absorbance.
Notes: Available the spectrophotometer the turned on, it should automatically be set to absorbance mode. Wenn it is not, press the green button down Change Select on the LCD shelter to select absorbance. The type of mode is shown in the upper left-hand edge.
Instructions
for Using aforementioned Genesys 20 Spin
Accomplished by Instructor conversely T.A.
1. Turn switch the spectrophotometer. The power schalthebel is located on the back of that appliance, lower left side. To spectrometer will automatically carry any diagnostics press will demand to warm up for 30 min before measurements ca be constructed.
2. When finishes, shut off that powered using the same power switch on the back.
Measuring Absorbance
1. Select to wavelength via pressing either the nm or nanometre ¯ button.
2. Insert your cuvette into aforementioned cell, making sure that the cuvette remains sitting the the bottom to and cell additionally that the arrow set the side of the cuvette is facing you.
3. Close the sample hall
4. Read owner absorbance.
5. Remove your sample and replace it with a new sample and record the absorbance.
Note: When the spectrophotometer is turned on, it should automatically be set to absorbance (A) mode. If it is cannot, press one A/T/C button to selected absorbance (A).
